Which Interlude class to take: solo, party and PvP
Best class in Lineage 2 Interlude by role: solo, party, farm, PvP and siege. No fake #1 list. No Kamael on C6. Pick a 3rd class that matches how you play on L2 Sansara.
People who type best class lineage 2 interlude want a number. This page will not give one. A High Five S-tier, an Olympiad spreadsheet and a Steam Classic list all answer different games. This interlude class guide is a role map for Chronicle 6 at cap 80: who clears a flagged spot, who holds a wall, who makes the recipe the floor will not drop. The ranking names are third-class names — Phoenix Knight, Hell Knight, Sagittarius, Archmage, Soultaker, Cardinal, Fortune Seeker, Maestro, Doomcryer, Adventurer. Kamael is not on the interlude class list. Dual class is not either. Awakening is not either.
L2 Sansara runs Interlude. EXP, SP and Adena are x500; item drop and spoil stay x1. Enchant is safe to +4 and stops at +18. Olympiad is 18:00–22:00 GMT-3. You pick race and path under those rules, not High Five’s. Chronicle snapshot: what Interlude is. First login: how to play Lineage 2 for free. Live shop and unpublished customs: /info.
Third class at 20, 40, and 76
Which class to play Interlude unlocks by occupation quest, not by a mall. First around 20, second around 40, third at 76. The name on every ranking is that last promotion. 3rd class Interlude is C6. It is not an Awakening reset and it is not a dual-class second main. Skip the Village Master dialogue and you farm a novice kit at 50.
On L2 Sansara the road to 76 is not a month of Abandoned Camp. The bottleneck is gear: safe enchant +4, cap +18, drop x1. Pick for the mode you will be online — farm, flag, party, siege, Olympiad — not for “who levels easiest.” The quest chain itself is class change Interlude. The 1–80 sit spots are how to level in Interlude.
Until 40 the game still forgives a change of mind. After 40 the kit already defines party invites and how you die on a purple flag. Do not lock a 2nd class because a screenshot said “S tier.” Clan academy (clan level 5+, character below 40, no 2nd occupation) does not pick your 3rd for you. It only shortens the window before 40. Academy rules: clan academy.
x500 does not pick your class
On a low-rate realm the “best class” was sometimes whoever suffered the grind least. That question dies here. A Cardinal and an Archmage close third class the same weekend. They do not close the same set. Spiritshots, soulshots, a soul-crystal SA and the walk past +4 are paid with drop x1. Inflated Adena buys consumables. It does not print recipes or an Imperial.
Stop ranking portraits by who reaches 76. Rank who farms the kit you will actually wear, and the hours you will actually log. Playing is free. Donate coin exists; we do not write “zero donate,” and we do not pretend the shop sells a class. Rates and the enchant table: the rate sheet and /info.
Five races, no Kamael
Human, Elf, Dark Elf, Orc, Dwarf. You do not swap race later. Fighter or mystic is the first door; the rest of this page is role, not a YouTube color chart. Race-versus-race flavor is races in Interlude — this hub will not restage that essay.
If character create offers Kamael — Inspector, Soul Breaker, Berserker, Arbalester, later Doombringer — that private is not Interlude. Kamael arrives in Gracia. The Steam client (official Essence or Classic) will not handshake L2 Sansara. High Five footage that sold you a sixth race belongs on Interlude vs High Five, then you download C6 from /download.
Human Fighter is the least punishing first path if you have no preference. Elf or Dark Elf mystic is comfortable ranged farm if you can feed spiritshot. Orc holds and shouts on different clocks. Dwarf is economy first. None of that is a hidden L2 Sansara rule. It is C6.
Subclass is not dual class
Dual class is Goddess of Destruction onward. Interlude does not have it. What it has is subclass and noblesse: a second occupation at 75, support skills, not a “double main.” You swap. You fight with the active kit. You do not run a Frankenstein of both trees in one swing. There is no Dual Class Certificate and no second cap.
This is not Hardin’s walkthrough and not Barakiel’s. The criterion is enough here. Classic C6 pairing is a damage main — nuke, archer, dagger, melee — plus a support sub (Prophet → Hierophant, Warcryer → Doomcryer) so you can self-buff when the party is empty. The reverse is a clan main — tank, healer, shout — plus a sub that can farm when the castle is quiet. Do not take the same class as the main. Overlord and Warsmith are the classic cross-race exceptions; confirm the live list on /info.
On L2 Sansara subclass is free. Noblesse is a different stamp: it opens Grand Olympiad. The published door is last-hit on Raid Boss Barakiel, and that last-hit credit counts for the party. If a High Five “scheme” gets pasted on top of your sub, someone is mixing chronicles.
Open-world roles: nuke, archer, dagger
If your table is the map — a route, a bridge, a flagged farm — the ranking shrinks to who kills and leaves. That is three jobs, not a numbered 1–2–3. Kit, pulls and PvP sentences live on the role hubs. This page only places them on the map.
Nuke — Archmage (human Sorcerer), Soultaker (Necromancer), Mystic Muse (elf Spellsinger), Storm Screamer (dark elf Spellhowler) — empties packs a melee cannot touch and wins mass flags. It dies if someone closes the gap. The tax is blessed spiritshot; Adena x500 helps you buy; shot drop stays x1. How a mystic actually farms and flags: mage nuke Interlude.
Archer — Sagittarius (human Hawkeye), Moonlight Sentinel, Ghost Sentinel — kites, holds range and lives on open ground. Close the gap and the bow dies. Soulshots match the bow’s grade; x500 does not multiply that drop. Bow job, not a portrait: archer Interlude.
Dagger — Adventurer (Treasure Hunter), Wind Rider, Ghost Hunter — is one target, hide, a back, and a dirty flag. It is not “the easy class.” It is the class that turns a purple into a corpse if the other player never turns. Farm is single-target. PvP is gank and leave. Flag versus chaotic: PvP, PK and karma. The hunter kit: dagger Interlude.
If you came to fight the map and not to bank a siege, those three are the serious best PvP class Interlude candidates in the open world. They are still not a fake #1.
Party roles: tank, healer, buffer
Phoenix Knight, Hell Knight, Eva’s Templar and Shillien Templar exist so a group can work. They do not print Adena like an Archmage on drop x1. If your clan needs a door held, tank is the best Interlude class for that seat. Phoenix versus Hell versus the templars is the tank hub, not this URL.
Cardinal, Eva’s Saint and Shillien Saint are why a raid or a siege does not wilt. Solo, a bishop still suffers: x500 walks the portrait to 80, drop x1 does not build a 1v1. That is not a farm ranking. It is a clan ranking. Healer seat: Bishop / Cardinal Interlude.
Buffer is how a clan feels like a clan. Doomcryer (Warcryer) is the shout name people search. Dominator (Overlord) buffs and commands. Hierophant, Sword Muse and Spectral Dancer close songs, dances and group buffs. A buffer does not win the 1v1 on the bridge. A buffer wins the siege and the nine-man farm. An H5 “scheme buffer” is another chronicle. What L2 Sansara ships as an NPC buffer — schemes, AIO — is on /info; it does not replace a healer on a raid boss. Songs and dances: songs and dances. Nine seats: party composition.
If the group already has nuke and nobody heals or buffs, the honest pick is the hole, not the fashionable DPS.
Economy: Fortune Seeker and Maestro
Fortune Seeker (from Bounty Hunter) and Maestro (from Warsmith) are C6’s economy classes. Drop x1 keeps spoil and craft relevant: recipes, materials, weapons the floor will not vomit. They are not the best open-world PvP class. They are the answer if you came to make real Adena and accept that the flag is not the job.
On x500 you hit cap early. The spoiler stays relevant because loot did not speed up with EXP. That split is the whole rate table in one sentence. How spoil is played: spoiler Interlude. Craft and Maestro: Warsmith and craft. Drop versus spoil as a comparison: drop vs spoil.
Best PvP class Interlude, by mode
The best PvP class Interlude depends on the room you are standing in. An Olympiad list is worthless in Giran. A siege list is worthless for a solo route. Write the criterion first — field, party, castle, stadium, silver — then pick. L2 Sansara is Interlude PvP with ES/PT/EN chat. The class is not for sale in the mall. If a shop sells the kit, the class debate already lost.
We do not publish a numbered “#1.” Anyone who does is selling a thumbnail, not a chronicle.
Open world and flag
On a route, a bridge or a flagged spot the list shrinks to nuke, archer and dagger. Archmage and Soultaker win mass. Sagittarius and a hunter win the dirty 1v1. A Phoenix Knight alone in Giran is a slow target, not “tanking the server.” A Doomcryer without a party shouts at the wind. That does not make those classes bad. It makes them a different mode. Purple versus red: PvP, PK and karma.
Party and siege
Castle, raid and a nine-man farm flip the list. No tank, no door. No healer, no tank. No buffer, the nuke hits like an apprentice. Here Phoenix Knight, Cardinal and Doomcryer are the clan’s best PvP class. Duelist, Titan and the summoners — Arcana Lord, Elemental Master, Spectral Master — are real C6 third classes and they add damage. They do not replace those three jobs when the castle is at war. How a siege is fought: castle siege. Who sits in the nine: party composition.
Olympiad 18:00–22:00 GMT-3
Grand Olympiad on L2 Sansara is 1v1 by class, window 18:00 to 22:00 GMT-3, noble plus nine fights in the period to contest Hero. You do not rank Archmage versus Sagittarius like a forum Excel. You rank Archmage versus Archmage. Kit — grade, enchant +4 / +18, shots — weighs more than the portrait name. The circuit is Olympiad and Hero. The open world does not make you Hero. The weapon that comes with the title is a different page.
Farm class Interlude, by mode
Solo farm: nuke and dagger clear; the archer farms safer at range. How to actually sit a spot without a healer on voice is best solo class Interlude — this ranking will not restage that guide. Spoiler pays in recipes and mats, not in EXP: on x500 experience is cheap and drop is not. In party the combo is still buffer plus healer plus nuke or archer. A Titan farms melee; he does not replace an Archmage on a pack.
Do not copy a retail-x1 farm guide onto this realm. You reach third class fast. The set, the SA and the walk past +4 take the real time. The class that farms best is the one that pays your shots and still works when someone flags the spot. Consumable tax: soulshots and spiritshots.
First week versus this ranking
This URL does not answer “which class do I click if I play two hours alone.” That is best solo class Interlude: first character, not the 3rd-class role map. If your first week has no clan, do not start Phoenix Knight because the name sounds like “best classes.” x500 lets you reroll later. It is still better if the main can farm, or the alt never dresses.
Tank, healer and Doomcryer are a first week if you already have people. If not, they are an endless LFG with a level-80 portrait. First night: a kit you understand. First week: a 2nd class you will still enjoy at 76. First month: the hole your clan actually has.
What this page is not
Neighbor URLs exist so this hub can stay on the role map and not swallow every class article on the site:
- 1–80 route: leveling Interlude.
- Race essay: Human vs Elf vs Orc — races.
- Occupation quests: 20 / 40 / 76 — class change.
- Subclass and noblesse: 75, Barakiel, Olympiad door — subclass and noblesse.
- First character if you play alone: solo class.
- Role kits: mage, archer, dagger, tank, healer, spoiler.
Duelist, Dreadnought, Titan, Grand Khavatari and the summoners are real C6 third classes. They are not missing from the tree. They are not the keyword of this hub. This page ranks the roles people search — nuke, archer, dagger, tank, healer, buffer, spoiler — at cap 80.
If you came back in 2026, the usual mistake is not “picking the wrong Archmage.” It is bringing another era’s client and roster. Steam Essence / Classic does not enter L2 Sansara. Forgotten Scrolls, later skill enchant and S80 / S84 are not played. The ceiling is cap 80 and Interlude sets. Create Human, Elf, Dark Elf, Orc or Dwarf. Chat is ES / PT / EN; Olympiad is 18:00–22:00 GMT-3.
Farm and solo PvP → nuke or dagger. Range → the Sagittarius line. Clan, siege and raids → tank, healer or Doomcryer. Silver and craft → Fortune Seeker or Maestro. Do not pick Kamael or dual class: they are not in Interlude.
Create the account, download the C6 client, and test a role that exists. Rates, enchant +4 / +18 and the Olympiad window are on /info.
