Three occupation doors: 20, 40 and 76

Class change Interlude: 1st, 2nd and 3rd class quests at 20, 40 and 76. Fate's Whisper plus the class saga. No dual class on C6. How not to stall on L2 Sansara.

Class change Interlude is a quest chain with a trainer at the end — not a shop respec and not “I want mage now.” Class transfer Lineage 2 on C6 is occupation change: first around 20, second at 40, third at 76. Skip a door and you farm the wrong kit with a beginner name on the target. On L2 Sansara EXP, SP and Adena are x500, so the doors arrive early. Item drop stays x1: the quest still wants marks, not only a level.

Spots: how to level in Interlude. Roles: best classes. Race at create: Interlude races. This page is the transfer mechanic only.

Occupation change Interlude is a transfer, not a tree swap

Occupation change Interlude is talk to your race’s class NPC, take the quest, finish it, come back, confirm. It is not dual class, not Awakening, and not a paid swap of Phoenix Knight for Archmage on the same character. How to change class L2 in the “I rolled a knight and I want a nuke” sense needs another login — on x500 that is a weekend, not a semester.

Subclass at 75 is a second occupation on the same character. It does not replace the main’s third class. Noblesse and Olympiad: subclass and noblesse. A video that says dual class on Interlude is selling Goddess of Destruction.

Gates at 20, 40 and 76 — the bar is not the job

Interlude opens the tree in three cuts. Without the transfer you keep novice, 1st-class, or 2nd-class skills even if the portrait already reads 50 or 78. x500 does not skip the Grand Master. Quest items do not drop x500: the bar is ready, the mark is not.

  • First class change Lineage 2 (20): Warrior, Knight, Rogue, Wizard, Cleric, Elven Knight, Palus Knight, Orc Raider, Scavenger, Artisan, and the rest of the five-race list. No Kamael Trooper or Warder.
  • 2nd class quest Interlude (40): Gladiator, Paladin, Hawkeye, Treasure Hunter, Sorcerer, Bishop, Warsmith, Overlord — the job people mean when they say they “play” a class. Academy ends here.
  • 3rd class quest Interlude (76): Duelist, Phoenix Knight, Sagittarius, Adventurer, Archmage, Cardinal, Fortune Seeker, Maestro, Doomcryer. Fate's Whisper first; your saga second. Cap is 80, not High Five 85.

There is no fourth main-class door. Subclass is a different stamp. You need the marks for the 2nd you already picked at 40.

First class change Lineage 2: off the generic paper

First class change Lineage 2 takes “Human Fighter” or “Elven Mystic” off the paper. The 1st class quest Interlude starts around 18–19. On x500 you can hit that before you know Gludin. Stop the farm. The search people type is Path to a Warrior: Human Fighter, Master Auron in Gludin, combat tests, Medallion of Warrior, then Grand Master Ramos in the same town. Knight and Rogue run their Paths in that Warrior Guild; Human mystics walk to the temple for Path to a Wizard and Path to a Cleric.

The Path does not finish on the leveling floor. It sends you out of the hub (a field test, a delivery, a second NPC) and back. Elves, Dark Elves, Orcs and Dwarves start in their village and travel the same way. “One more level” is how you wake up 28 with a tutorial name. Then:

  1. Level 18–20 and the Path for your branch taken.
  2. Close the chain (mobs, deliveries, sometimes a dialogue test).
  3. Talk to the Grand Master, High Priest, High Prefect, Warehouse Chief or Head Blacksmith and confirm.

The mark in the bag is not the transfer. The click is. Leave a bag slot and teleport Adena; a full inventory is how people finish a Path and cannot pick up the medallion.

Path titles the C6 client actually prints

English titles as Interlude lists them. Path of the Trooper and Path of the Warder are not here.

  • Human fighter: Path to a Warrior, Path to a Knight, Path to a Rogue.
  • Human mystic: Path to a Wizard, Path to a Cleric.
  • Elf: Path to an Elven Knight, Path to an Elven Scout, Path to an Elven Wizard, Path to an Oracle.
  • Dark Elf: Path to a Palus Knight, Path to an Assassin, Path to a Dark Wizard, Path to a Shillien Oracle.
  • Orc: Path to an Orc Raider, Path to an Orc Monk, Path to an Orc Shaman.
  • Dwarf: Path to a Scavenger, Path to an Artisan.

Each Path leaves a different mark (Medallion of Warrior, Mark of Raider, and whatever the dialogue names). Dark Wizard starts at the Altar of Rites, not Giran. Orc Raider starts with Prefect Karukia in Orc Village. Dwarves split: Warehouse Chief for Scavenger, Head Blacksmith for Artisan.

2nd class quest Interlude: the job people mean

The 2nd class quest Interlude is the one most players mean by “now I play.” It opens in the mid-30s and turns in at 40. A Warrior who never becomes Gladiator or Warlord keeps a short kit. A Human Wizard who never becomes Sorcerer, Necromancer or Warlock still farms like an apprentice. Safe enchant on L2 Sansara is +4 and the ceiling is +18 — do not +18 a D-grade you vendor the week you take 2nd.

There is not one “2nd class quest.” There are three marks. NPCs sit in Giran, Dion, Oren, Ivory Tower or the race village. Quest drop is x1: the bottleneck is mats and travel, not EXP. Run the three chains next to pre-40 farm. Do not save them “for 42.” The Grand Master will not promote you because the bar ticked over.

Paid skip? Only if /info says so. This page does not invent a 2nd-class shop. Second occupation is also the ticket into Seven Signs: Dawn and Dusk will not take a 1st-class name.

Trial, Testimony, and Test of… — three marks

C6 names the trio in English. Every 2nd class uses the same mold:

  • Trial of… — Challenger (warrior family), Duty (knight), Seeker (rogue), Scholar (wizard), Pilgrim (cleric / buffer), Guildsman (dwarf). Overlord uses Trial of the Lord.
  • Testimony of… — Trust (Human), Life (Elf), Fate (Dark Elf), Glory (Orc), Prosperity (Dwarf).
  • Test of… — Duelist, Champion, Healer, Searcher, Sagittarius, Magus, Summoner, Witchcraft, Reformer, Maestro, Lord, War Spirit.

Worked examples, not forty walkthroughs. Gladiator: Trial of the Challenger + Testimony of Trust + Test of the Duelist. Paladin: Trial of Duty + Testimony of Trust + Test of the Healer. A Dwarf swaps Testimony to Prosperity and Trial to Guildsman; Warsmith closes with Test of the Maestro. If a wiki asks for Path of the Trooper in this bracket, it is not Interlude.

The x500 fail is quiet. You sit 40 in one session. The Grand Master does not offer Gladiator. You are a high-number 1st class. Start the three chains near 35. The client names the mob. If this realm skips the marks, that sentence lives on /info.

Second class graduates academy — on purpose or by accident

Clan academy is chronicle rules: clan level 5 or higher, character below 40, no second occupation. Taking 2nd class or crossing 40 kicks you out. On L2 Sansara the window is short. If a clan invited you for the EXP seat, do not click the 40 quest on impulse. If you want out, take 2nd on purpose — that is graduation. Detail: clan academy Interlude.

3rd class quest Interlude: Fate's Whisper, then one saga

The 3rd class quest Interlude wants level 76 and a finished 2nd class. The shared piece is Fate's Whisper. It starts with Maestro Reorin in the meadow by Oren / Ivory Tower. He sends you for proof — work that, on retail, is party-sized — and leaves you the Star of Destiny. That chain is Interlude, not a Kamael saga. We do not copy mob lists or crystal counts: guides disagree, and drop is x1.

The circuit that does not change:

  1. Close Fate's Whisper and hold the Star of Destiny.
  2. Take the saga that matches your 2nd class (Tablets of Vision / the NPC the client assigns).
  3. Return to the Grand Master and take the third occupation.

On L2 Sansara the ride to 76 is short. Farming saga pieces is not. Budget Adena, shots and a party, not a mall skip, unless /info publishes one. The Star later matters for subclass; that walk is the noblesse article. Some saga steps send you through Goddard — Ketra, Varka, a chef. Those are not Fate's Whisper. Follow the tablet. Alliance map: Ketra and Varka.

Hawkeye becomes Sagittarius: official 2nd → 3rd names

After Fate's Whisper each 2nd class has a C6 saga titled Saga of the [third class]. This is the transfer table, not a tier list — roles stay on the class hub.

  • Human: Gladiator → Duelist; Warlord → Dreadnought; Paladin → Phoenix Knight; Dark Avenger → Hell Knight; Treasure Hunter → Adventurer; Hawkeye → Sagittarius; Sorcerer → Archmage; Necromancer → Soultaker; Warlock → Arcana Lord; Bishop → Cardinal; Prophet → Hierophant.
  • Elf: Temple Knight → Eva's Templar; Swordsinger → Sword Muse; Plains Walker → Wind Rider; Silver Ranger → Moonlight Sentinel; Spellsinger → Mystic Muse; Elemental Summoner → Elemental Master; Elven Elder → Eva's Saint.
  • Dark Elf: Shillien Knight → Shillien Templar; Bladedancer → Spectral Dancer; Abyss Walker → Ghost Hunter; Phantom Ranger → Ghost Sentinel; Spellhowler → Storm Screamer; Phantom Summoner → Spectral Master; Shillien Elder → Shillien Saint.
  • Orc: Destroyer → Titan; Tyrant → Grand Khavatari; Overlord → Dominator; Warcryer → Doomcryer.
  • Dwarf: Bounty Hunter → Fortune Seeker; Warsmith → Maestro.

Not Interlude: Saga of the Doombringer, Inspector, Berserker, Soul Hound, Trickster. The spine is Fate's Whisper plus the saga of your 2nd. We do not list six tablets per class.

Class transfer Lineage 2 happens at the master, not in the bag

Class transfer Lineage 2 is the dialogue that rewrites the class name. Closing Path to a Warrior does not make you a Warrior. Three marks do not make you a Gladiator. Fate's Whisper does not make you a Phoenix Knight. The mark is an item. The transfer is another click.

The Grand Master covers Human and Elven fighters in the Warrior Guild. High Priest and Grand Magister cover mystics. High Prefect covers Orcs. Warehouse Chief and Head Blacksmith cover Dwarves. The line is gray if you lack a mark, lack the level, or walked into the wrong race’s hall.

After the click, skills and shortcuts change. Enchant and SA stay on the item. Then you walk to a trainer and spend SP. On L2 Sansara SP is x500; some skills still ask for a spellbook, and that book drops x1. Occupation and the book are two counters — skill books Interlude. No skill enchant. No Forgotten Scrolls.

A class change quest Interlude at every door wants the same habits: read the NPC, leave bag space, do not dump Adena into a tutorial D-grade the night before 20. This page will not invent GPS pins or crystal counts. If staff customized a quest, /info wins. Party helps on Fate's Whisper. L2 Sansara does not autofarm the marks.

Towns that hold the master — no pin, no GPS

The client marks the NPC. You pick the town by race and by which door you are on.

  • Human fighter: Grand Master in the Warrior Guild. Classic 1st in Gludin (Ramos). Later Gludio, Dion, Giran, Oren, Hunter's Village, Heine, Aden, Goddard.
  • Human mystic: High Priest / Grand Magister in the temple or Ivory Tower. Gludin for the Path; Giran and Oren when 2nd sends you to the tower.
  • Elf: Grand Master or Magister in Elven Village; Gludio and Giran once the dialogue pulls you out.
  • Dark Elf: Grand Master in Dark Elven Village. Mid-game transfers also in Gludio and Giran.
  • Orc: High Prefect. Paths start in Orc Village; a High Prefect in Gludin or the town the dialogue names closes the transfer.
  • Dwarf: Dwarven Village first; Giran and Schuttgart later.

Hunter's Village and Oren hold many 2nd-class NPCs; Aden and Goddard show up more on sagas. Custom trainer teleport: /info. Town map: cities and teleport.

How to change class L2 does not mean Awakening, Steam, or dual class

If you are coming back in 2026, search will show Essence and Classic on Steam, High Five Awakening, dual class, and a create screen with Kamael. Those videos are current. This chronicle is not. On L2 Sansara the doors are still 20, 40 and 76. There is no Awakening NPC, no Dual Class Certificate, no Inspector at create. Download the Interlude client, not Steam.

  • Kamael sagas and Paths. Doombringer, Trickster, Soul Breaker, Trooper, Warder — close the guide.
  • Dual class. On Interlude the “second class” at 40 is 2nd occupation. The extra job at 75 is subclass.
  • An invented shop. We do not assume paid 2nd or paid 3rd. If L2 Sansara offers one, it is on /info.

No fortress, no backup scroll, no High Five attributes on this road. Three quests, one master, one tree.

The name is done. The chronicle is not

After third class the rush to a new occupation ends. Cap farm, shots on drop x1, siege, and Olympiad 18:00–22:00 GMT-3 if you take noblesse still sit ahead.

Order: 18–20, your Path, Grand Master. 35–40, three 2nd-class marks next to the farm, academy decided on purpose. 76, Fate's Whisper, then the saga of the name you already chose. Then, if Olympiad is the plan, subclass. Register, download Interlude, and use /info if a quest here diverges from the C6 book. L2 Sansara runs Interlude: cap 80, five races, no dual class. The transfer closes in town.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

When do I do a class change Interlude?
Three times, and only as quests: first occupation near 20, second at 40, third at 76. The level bar does not transfer you. On L2 Sansara EXP is x500, so the doors arrive before the marks.
Can I change class after third class?
Not as a tree reset. How to change class L2 on Interlude means advancing occupation — Warrior to Gladiator to Duelist — not swapping Phoenix Knight for Archmage on the same character. Dual class does not exist on Interlude. Subclass at 75 is a second job; it does not replace the main's third class.
What is the 1st class quest Interlude?
The 1st class quest Interlude takes a generic fighter or mystic and hands you a job: Warrior, Knight, Rogue, Wizard, Cleric, and the rest of the C6 list. Each branch has its own Path title. Without it you keep the tutorial kit. Village and NPC change by race.
Does the 2nd class quest Interlude close academy?
Yes. Academy wants a clan level 5 or higher and a character below 40 with no second occupation. Taking the 2nd class quest Interlude — or crossing 40 — graduates you. On x500 that window is short. Do not click 2nd on impulse if you still want the seat.
Is the 3rd class quest Interlude the same as Awakening?
No. The 3rd class quest Interlude is Fate's Whisper plus your C6 saga: Hawkeye becomes Sagittarius, Treasure Hunter becomes Adventurer, Sorcerer becomes Archmage. Awakening is High Five. Dual class is Goddess of Destruction. Neither exists on Interlude. Cap stays 80.
What is Fate's Whisper and do I need it for third class?
Fate's Whisper is the shared Interlude chain before any 3rd-class saga. It starts with Maestro Reorin near Oren / Ivory Tower and leaves you the Star of Destiny. Without that token the Grand Master will not promote you. "Saga of the …" titles come after, not instead of, Fate's Whisper.
Can I pay to skip the 2nd class quest?
Do not assume a shop, a donate NPC, or a .class command. This page does not invent a paid occupation change. If L2 Sansara publishes a shortcut — free or paid — it is written on /info. If /info is silent, you run the Trial, Testimony, and Test of… marks like C6.
Is finishing the quest enough to transfer?
No. A Medallion of Warrior, three 2nd-class marks, or a closed Fate's Whisper is inventory. Class transfer Lineage 2 finishes when you talk to the Grand Master, High Priest, High Prefect, Warehouse Chief, or Head Blacksmith and confirm.
Is Path to a Warrior the only first-class quest?
No. Path to a Warrior is the Human Fighter line people search. The client also lists Path to a Knight, Path to a Rogue, Path to a Wizard, Path to a Cleric, and the Elven, Palus, Orc, Scavenger and Artisan Paths. Path of the Trooper and Path of the Warder are Kamael — not Interlude.
Are the "Saga of the …" quests Interlude?
The C6 roster is: Saga of the Phoenix Knight, Saga of the Sagittarius, Saga of the Archmage, Saga of the Fortune Seeker, and the rest of the cap-80 names. Saga of the Doombringer, Inspector, Soul Hound, Berserker, and Trickster are Kamael (Gracia). Those sagas are not on L2 Sansara.

Playing on L2 Sansara is free. PvP, farm and Olympiad make sense when you read them — and you win them by playing. Discord is where clan, raid and siege come together.
