Sword to bow: the C6 weapon families

Interlude weapon types — the same Lineage 2 weapon types the C6 client ships — are few and strict: third-class skills expect a type. The right grade on the wrong type is dead damage. On L2 Sansara drop is x1 — you do not swap bow for blunt “to test” every afternoon. EXP x500 dresses the level; it does not dress the weapon.

Sword and dual swords Interlude

One-hand sword is the knight-with-shield picture, some warriors, the classic Aden blade. Shield skills and line stuns want that hand on a sword, not on a bow.

Dual swords Interlude is two blades, no shield. Gladiator (Duelist), Swordsinger (Sword Muse) and the kit that lives on duals. It is not “automatic more DPS.” It is another type. The client refuses shield skills if you insist on duals.

Bow vs dagger Interlude

Bow vs dagger Interlude is the open-world argument. Bow is Hawkeye → Sagittarius and the elven rangers: range, arrows, kite. King in a field; misery on Cruma stairs if melee sticks. Arrows are consumable: Adena x500 buys, drop x1 does not gift the box.

Dagger is Treasure Hunter → Adventurer and the elven daggers: backstab, mortal, one-target farm. Light, fast, useless on a nuke pull. Focus / Haste SA changes the char more than +2 on the wrong chest.

Two handed sword Interlude and polearm Interlude

Two handed sword Interlude is Destroyer → Titan: big hits, no shield, not a spear. People see a long weapon icon and equip a polearm. That is a wasted S drop.

Polearm Interlude is Warlord → Dreadnought: sweep, wide, corridor packs. In a farm party the polearm exists to clear. In Oly the job changes. It is not a bow and it is not a staff.

Fist weapon Lineage 2 and blunt

Fist weapon Lineage 2 is Tyrant / Grand Khavatari. The fist is not a dagger. It is not duals. It is the orc fighter who punches. Equipping a sword on a Tyrant “because S dropped” wastes drop x1.

Blunt is hammer and mace: Destroyer-adjacent hits, many healers (Bishop mace), part of the mystic line. Blunt damage and a different stun line. It is not “the orc weapon only” — it is a skill type.

Staff and the mage hand

Nuke and many mystics want a staff or magic blunt. Empower, Acumen, Conversion live on that hand. A physical sword on an Archmage is a costume. The interlude weapon list is short so this mistake stays expensive.

Best weapon type Interlude is the one your skill uses

There is no universal best weapon type Interlude. There is the type your 3rd class clicks. Grade and SA come after. Hero Infinity is still a sword, bow, spear or wand — it is an Olympiad prize, not a craftable type. That prize lives on Olympiad, not here.

Safe enchant +4 on the weapon you farm with. Cap +18 if the wallet can eat a fail. Do not SA a D you will vendor tomorrow.

Drop x1 makes the type decision sticky

On L2 Sansara you will not roll a new S every night. Pick the type, then hunt the letter. Create the account, download Interlude, and use /info if a custom weapon type exists — Kamael steel does not, not on Interlude.
